A Nonlinear Distortion Compensation Algorithm Combined with Channel Estimation in OFDM System

This paper presents a new algorithm for channel estimation in nonlinear distortion compensation. Whereas in practical OFDM systems, in which nonlinear amplifier is used, data as well as pilot symbols are nonlinearly distorted. However, as pilot symbols are used to obtain channel state information, the accuracy of channel estimation is closely related to the performance of nonlinear compensation. The new algorithm considers the nonlinear impact on pilot data during channel estimation, so as to improve the performance of nonlinear cancellation. Simulation results show that, compared to the algorithm that do not account for pilot distortion, the proposed algorithm achieves significant performance improvement.
