In)Definições sobre o componente laboratorial de vigilância sanitária no Brasil

The article seeks to present the formation of the laboratory of sanitary surveillance in Brazil from the creation of the Central Laboratory of Control of Drugs and Medications (LCCDM), in 1954. The changes produced with the transformation of the same in the National Institute of Health Quality Control (INCQS), in 1981, and later, with the creation of the National Agency of Sanitary Surveillance (Anvisa), in 1999. Organizational changes and their impact on the analytical control of the sanitary risk of the offered products for the population are also discussed.
