Reliability Evaluation of Wind Energy Conversion Systems Incorporating Well-Being Model

Along with wind energy widespread popularization and application, how to improve power supply reliability is an important issue in electric power systems including wind energy. This paper incorporates the deterministic criteria in a probabilistic framework, and builds well-being model. The model describes system reliability in terms of three different states. This paper analyzed the reliability of the three different states in small isolated power system, and researched the influence of energy storage capacity and annual peak load on small isolated wind power system reliability. This analytical approach can clearly classify system operation state; it also can improve the accuracy of reliability evaluation.
