Ultimate Bearing Capacity Analysis of the Wu Gorge Bridge over Yangtse River

For long-span concrete filled steel tubular arch bridges,it is the nonlinear characteristics of material and geometric design during the period of deformation and instability,which should be taken into account in the analysis of the structure effectiveness and initial stress of arch rib. Based on the finite element technique of high accuracy beam with a rounded section,and on the constitutive relations of composite material of concrete-filled steel tube,this paper analyzes the ultimate bearing capacities of the Wu Gorge Bridge in the Yangtse River under static loads with structural simulation for entire bridge.
