A Model of Tunably Gated Optical Signal Time-Frequency Analysis Based on Spectrography

Time-frequency analysis method on optical signal can not only describe the variation of frequency going with the time,but also display the energy density of signal.We investigate the spectrography and the relationship between the Wigner distrbution function and the time-dependent physical spectrum of optical signal.A tunably gated optical signal time-frequency analysis model is proposed and a simulation is made using LabVIEW.Comparing the spectrogram of signal including noise in different time delay and velocity conditions with the original signal,a preferable time-frequency solution is obtained.From the simulation and its results,we conclude that the model could be efficiently employed in optical signal analysis field.
