Data Acquisition System for Multiple Encorders Based on FPGA

The system of signal acquisition of the four fold-frequency subdivision,direction-judgment,counting and flip-latch of the data which came from the six encorders was investigated.The high-compositive FPGA(filed programmable gate array) chip was used as the core to deal with the signal of the six encoders in real time.The four fold-frequency subdivision,direction-judgment,counting and flip-latch of the data which came from the six encorders were totally transacted in the FPGA chip.The final data were sent to the PC through the serial interface of the FPGA.After that,the hardware circuits,especially some of the key parts,were described in detail.
