Sex with robots: analyzing the gender and ethics approaches in design

In this paper, we describe the state of art in the sex robots (sexbots), focused on the gender and ethics approaches. A relevant improvement has been made in the development of sexbots in the last years. New designs arise everyday as new ways of interaction. We explore the main design approaches and type of interactions in sexbots. Also, a gender analysis is provided. The concern for ethics is also addressed in a short-term and long-term. Different considerations for the ethics design of sexbots are presented.
