Algebraic Analysis of Linear Precoding for Channel Identiication

This paper studies the ability of linear precoders and lter banks to introduce suucient algebraic redundancy to enable the receiver to algebraically identify an unknown nite impulse response channel. Prior to the work herein, identiiability issues had only been resolved for specially designed linear pre-coders for which linear algebra or z-domain analysis suuced. The results obtained here help explain the connection between various identiiability criteria such as Fisher information-based identiiability and strict identiiability.
