Design and Commission of a New 670 t/h Superpressure Coal-Water Slurry Firing Boiler

Combustion commissioning tests were performed on Nanhai No.1 Power Plant's new 670 t/h coal-water slurry firing boiler not only for the purpose of verifying its design,manufacture and installation quality,but also for providing test data to serve as a reference for compiling an operation manual and for future engineering design jobs concerning similar matching of coal-water slurry firing boilers.Results show that the boiler's fuel adoptability is good;design requirements are well met,whenever with firing oil,slurry or a blend of both.An efficiency of more than 99.6% can be attained when solely firing slurry.Figs 5,tables 3 and refs 4.
