Rigorous analysis of the coaxial disk-loaded waveguide slow-wave structures

Taking the accurate field match theory, a rigorous dispersion function with both TM and TE modes of coaxial disk- loaded waveguide slow-wave structures is derived in this paper. Numerical calculation is carried out based on the dispersion function. And the theoretical calculated results are compared with the simulated results from the MAFIA code to test the validity of our theory. Then the dependence of the dispersion characteristics on various structure parameters is numerically calculated. It helps to select proper parameters of coaxial disk- loaded slow-wave structures.
