Short-time stability analysis of time-varying linear systems

This paper introduces a rather simple but effective procedure for short-time stability analysis of linear dynamical systems. Useful information regarding short-time stability are obtained from time domain analysis of "eigenvalues". It is observed that a system which is ruled out to be unstable can still be stable for a short time or a system which is said to be stable might be just short-time stable. Examples are given to demonstrate the capability of the procedure.<<ETX>>
