Target Tracking Using Wireless Sensor Networks: Survey

Target tracking is one of the important applications of Wireless Senor Networks. This paper presents the various techniques used for the target tracking in WSN. The analysis of each technique is presented along with its advantages and disadvantages. This paper presents an overview of target tracking using wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we present an active survey about the target tracking using wireless sensor networks. Here we describe briefly about wireless sensor networks and target tracking in detail that includes the definition, various properties and characteristics. As the target tracking is an important application in wireless sensor networks the target tracking is more expensive and complexity is comparatively high. In this survey, unusual author's methods are compared and examined to derive an active technique called as target tracking in wireless sensor networks. As this method is an emerging technique and so different observations are taken place to examine the differing advantages and disadvantages while using this system. There exist various challenges in using this technique. These are observed, and documentation has been given.
