Transformation of the traditional industry through digital technologies shapes the education system, as comprehensive knowledge in the interdisciplinary areas of technologies is required. Amid the challenges of competitive and digital technologies in the advanced manufacturing industry, the universities and industry cooperation is imperative. This study presents the planning and implementation of the educational projects in metrology to create a vision of building the bridge between educational institutes and the industry. The implementation of tele-presence and tele-operation case studies focus on flexibility, efficiency and quality of the processes that does not limit the resources to a location, time difference or facility. Vision in education is of extreme importance in this present time of worldwide international competition in Industry 4.0 that will enable to achieve sustainable environmental friendly goals with contribution to both industry and society.
