54dBImageRejection Fully Integrated Receiver forMulti-standard 5-GHzWLANs

A fully integrated heterodyne receiver (1.1 GHzof intermediate frequency) formulti-standard (IEEE802.11a and HiPerLAN/2(1)) indoor5-6GHz WLAN applications is presented. Thecircuit consists ofaselective LNA withapassive notchfilter centered attheimagefrequency (fIM) andanimage reject mixerrealized according toHartley's scheme. Thecircuit hasbeenimplemented inastandard SiGeprocess andexhibits 54dB oftotal imagerejection, 4.7dB ofNF,-68dB ofLO leakage toRF suppression andainput-referred CP1dBequalto -2OdBm.
