The evolution of the eastern North American isopods of the genus Asellus (Crustacea: Asellidae) Part II

This paper is the s,~cond in a three part series dealing with the evolution of North American isopods of the genus Aselllls. It contains a discussion of the generic status of Asellus, a generic diagnosis, a list of North American species, a key to North American species and the reduction to synonymy of certain nominal species of the genus Aselllls. I would like to thank Dr. Perry C. Hoi t for reviewing this manuscript and Mrs. Patty Lady for typing this manuscript.
