Evaluation Of The Predictions Of The ADREA-HF Code For Dense Gas Dispersion With Real Scale Ammonia Release Experiments

In the framework of the evaluation of the dense gas dispersion code ADREAHF the experiments No. 16 and 17 of the FLADIS Project have been computationally simulated. The experiments concerned continuous jet releases of liquified ammonia and subsequent dispersion over flat terrain in real scale. The computed concentrations are compared to the experimental at the exact locations of the sensors, after the steady-state plume is established. A statistical analysis is performed in order to evaluate the bias in the model predictions and the spread of the individual values around the mean bias, as functions of the observed concentration.
