A method of synchronizing content state lists between a portable content player and a content storing device, a portable content player and a content storage device are provided to continue incomplete reproduction of content in the content storage device from the portable content player from the point where the content is stopped. A method of synchronizing content state lists between a portable content player and a content storing device having content reproduction function comprises the steps of: creating a first content state list of contents stored in the content storage device and a second content stat list of contents stored in the portable content player; when the portable content player and the content storage device are connected, generating an execution list based on the first and second content state lists(S401,S403); and executing a synchronization command included in a predetermined content selected to be synchronized for matching the first content list with the second content list(S404).
