Effects of cumulative PDG on the scalability of SOA-based optical packet switching networks

Using a re-circulating loop we study the extreme cases of cumulative PDG in SOA-based packet switching nodes. We show that node polarization dependence could limit the physical layer scalability of optical packet switching networks.
