Outage evaluation under traffic heterogeneity in CDMA networks

We present methods to evaluate user outage probability when users have heterogeneous traffic and experience log-normal shadowing over the reverse link of CDMA networks. Our evaluation technique has a closed form expression and only requires first and second order statistics of the aggregated in-cell user power and other-cell interference power. Numerical results demonstrate the evaluation is accurate.
