한국형 틸팅열차용 복합재 차체성능 평가 연구

This paper explains performance assessment on the composite train carbody for the Korean tilting train. The composite carbody with length of 23m was manufactured as a sandwich structure composed of a aluminium honeycomb core and woven fabric carbon/epoxy face. In order to evaluate performance of the composite carbody, the static, fatigue and fire test were conducted. The static test was performed under Japanese industrial standard. The fatigue test was conducted for 2×10?cycles. During the fatigue test, fatigue cracks of the composite carbody and steel underframe were inspected by the nondestructive tests using X-ray and liquid penetrant. The fire test was performed under the arson scenario of Daegu fire accicent. From the fatigue test, no fatigue crack was detected. There were no severe fire damages and fire propagation in the fire test.
