Reflections on Operation Supporting System Architecture for Future Interconnected Power Grid

This paper analyzes the future business need for the operation supporting system in light of the operation and control demands of China’s future interconnected large-scale power grid. The concept and architecture of the concentrated-distributed dispatch and control system(CDDCS)for the future smart grid with the characteristics of physical computer distribution and logical decision integration is proposed, which features the centralized and unified characteristics of the fundamental unified power grid model, centralized analysis and control decision-making,as well as the dispersive and distributive characteristics of local data acquisition and control.Meanwhile the physical distributed computer hardware architecture based on the peer to peer(P2P)mode is elaborated and a comparative analysis between the CDDCS and the current system is addressed. Finally, the key technical issues to be solved are discussed in detail.
