Dysphagia

Dysphagia is difficulty with or improper swallowing.Dysphagia has many causes depending on gestational age, chronological age, congenital malformations, and neurodevelopmental status.Detailed history and physical examination help establish etiology for dysphagia in majority of cases.Selected cases need laboratory and imaging studies.Treatment depends on underlying cause.
