Traffic scheduling equipment

The present invention relates to a traffic scheduling apparatus, for scheduling the transmission order of packets stored in a plurality of queues traffic flows, each flow between flow queues for scheduling eligibility status of the plurality of traffic flows is described in queue hierarchical scheduling database relationship maintained, the flow rate scheduling apparatus comprising: a plurality of interconnected cluster of memory cells, a hierarchical scheduling unit and the database memory of said each cluster or a plurality of layers is associated and coupled to at least a co-processor, said at least one coprocessor may be software programmed to implement a scheduling algorithm; and a plurality of flow streams to the queue at the interface, the interface for identifying the selected algorithm according to the schedule for transmission particular traffic flows associated with a queue or a plurality of packets, and an interface for transmitting the eligibility status of each of said plurality of traffic streams flow stream queue of queues.
