With the development of smart grid, Micro-grid has been recognized as the efficient and effective way for integration of DER (distributed energy resource) and promote their advantages of flexibility, deferred investment and less pollution. In order to facilitate the realization and integration of the application of EMS(Energy Management System) and DMS (Distribution Management System), a series of standard including IEC61970 and IEC61968 have been developed. Model version management is necessary for DER management, which provides the ability to trace and compare between different versions of Micro-grid in different time periods, which is useful for evaluation of the planning and management of DERs and Micro-grid. In this paper, we researched on model management method for Micro-grid. SVN (subversion) tools were applied in the method to create version management service with the advantage of CIM. The API (Application Programming Interface) components provided by SVN were implemented for model creation, updating, difference analysis and version traceability, which provides support for long term management of Micro-grid.
