Analysis of strength and deformation of vertical rolling mill housing by finite element method

FEM is used to analysed the frame of vertical rolling mill. As a result stress field and deformed situation obtained prove to be conformable to the practice. Based on the traits of whole hydraulic pressure down,it specially analysed the pillar and the crossbeam and got conclusion that the strength and stiffness are sufficient for the need of the operation. It provided reliable data and technical storage for further reseraching the vertical rolling mill.
