The invention discloses a recycling treatment method and recycling treatment equipment of waste plastic. The equipment comprises a crushing and sorting treatment system and a cleaning and separation treatment system, wherein the crushing and sorting treatment system comprises a two-stage raw material conveying belt, a two-stage crusher, a magnetic separator and a two-stage crushed material conveying belt; and the cleaning and separation treatment system comprises a clear water tank, a precipitated material conveying belt, a brine tank, a spiral discharger, a spiral conveyer and a floating material lifter. The method consists of a crushing and sorting process and a cleaning and separation process. The crushing and sorting process consists of a manual sorting step, a first-stage crushing step, a magnetic separation step and a second-stage crushing step in sequence; and various components of the waste plastic are separated by using two liquids with different densities, i.e., clear water and brine, in the cleaning and separation process. The method and the equipment have the characteristics of good separation effect, high resource recovery rate, no secondary pollution and the like.
