Abstract Holography is used to record the pressure field produced by ultrasonic standing waves in methanol (300 K), liquid nitrogen (77.3 K), and liquid helium-II (1.60 K). This technique yields quantitative information on the intensity and sinusoidal spatial dependence of the waves.
