An architecture-oriented method of Prognostics and Health Management for C4ISR

As a Large and technically complex system, there are high reliability, real-time requirements in C4ISR. In order to improve combat capability and implement the interoperability and rapid variety of business and technology, Open Architecture was adopted in C4ISR system and decomposed to functional architecture and technical architecture. In this paper, an architecture-oriented method of Prognostics and Health Management for C4ISR system is proposed. First, we describe the functional architecture and technical architecture and give an analysis on the inner relationship of them. Then, we propose a DoDAF-based describing method which can be used to implement Prognostics and Health Management for C4ISR system. Finally, we give an example to explain how to use the architecture-oriented method to implement the modeling method and the support to Prognostics and Health Management for C4ISR.
