A Bibliometric Study of Scientific Literature on Regional Clusters and Institutions Published in the Portal of Journals of CAPES

The aim of this study is to raise indicators related to the relationship between clusters and institutions. To this end, this article presents a bibliometric study of scientific literature on regional clusters and institutions in articles published in Portal of Journal of CAPES from 2000 to 2013. In this 14-year longitudinal cutting were found 11 international articles. The research method was a documentary and bibliographical study, using content analysis, being this research empirical-analytical and exploratory. The results showed that in most articles it was used the theoretical and empirical approach, with use of exploratory research, combined with the qualitative technique. Data collection was done predominantly through interviews and documents. They also showed that institutions influence the existing clusters and in creating new clusters, and that universities leading research about clusters collaborate to innovation in this area.
