A modified MPPT technique for drift reduction using neural networks

In this, the paper concerns about the drift analysis by acquiring different maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques, that is perturb and observe (P&O) and modified perturb and observe (P&O). By varying the values of few parameters with respect to the number of iterations performed for which mainly two type of controllers are been employed i.e. proportional integral controller (PI) and Neural network controller. With respect to the MPPT techniques is concerned, P&O algorithm is mainly chosen to be executed through MATLAB simulation for better results. For which PV/Solar panel is connected with SEPIC converter for exacting the input signal at the output along with drift observation. A modified P&O technique is designed to escape the drift problem by assimilating the maximum information of deviation of current I for determination process in accession with deviation in power P & deviation in voltage V. Finally this model is been implemented using MATLAB simulink tool in r2010a.
