Digital Synthetic Receive Beamforming with the Xilinx ZC1275 Evaluation Board

Xilinx's next generation RF System on Chip (RFSoC) technology enables rapid implementation of digital beamforming on multiple channels. In this paper, we discuss the methodology in which RFSoC's IP core blocks are instantiated and controlled with MATLAB scripts to perform a robust self-calibration routine and digital beamforming. We also present measured digital beam patterns synthesized on the RFSoC evaluation board.
