On-line drift counteraction for metal oxide gas sensor arrays

Drift is one of the major problems experienced by gas analysers and electronic noses based on inexpensive metal oxide sensors. A novel drift counteraction technique is introduced, which allows for an on-line automated recalibration of the sensor system. The technique is demonstrated by discriminating three volatile compounds with 100% success rate using a sensor array.
