Swabs taken from the pharynx and cloaca of Peregrine Falcons (Falco peregrinus) and Gyrfalcons (Falco rusticolus) yielded many species ofbacteria, including E. coli, Proteus sp., Staphylococcus aureus, Pasteurella anatipestifer, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
