Enhancing Guaranteed end-to-end delay in IEEE 802.15.4

Within the framework of real time protocols for sensor networks, applying formal verification techniques can provide time guarantees and ensure the proper functioning of the protocols verified. We apply the NCDCLA (Network Coding based Duty Cycle Learning Algorithm) paradigm in IEEE 802.15.4 which is based on both the concept of network coding and the concept of duty cycle adaptation in order to ensure good real time QoS management. In this paper, we present an analytical approach for end-to-end delay analysis for NCDCLA. The theoretical basis of our approach is network calculus. Experiments show that our proposed approach can significantly decrease the analytical end-to-end delay performance.
