Analysis and Implementation of Interleaved Boost Converter for Fuel Cell System

In this paper, a three-phase interleaved boost converter for fuel cell system is proposed. The converter is designed and interfaced with Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell. A detailed analysis of the proposed topology is presented. Simulation study for the closed loop control (PID) of the proposed converter interfaced with fuel cells is carried out using MATLAB. The feasibility of the proposed topology is experimentally verified for a 750W prototype.
