A compact broadband hybrid ridged SIW and GCPW coupler

In this paper, a novel hybrid ridged substrate integrated waveguide (RSIW) and ground coplanar waveguide (GCPW) structure coupler is presented. In this coupler, the RSIW and GCPW are arranged back to back to realize high-integration. Such hybrid coupler combines the broadband advantage of RSIW and the flexibility of GCPW. According to the simulated results, it can operate at 28 GHz and achieve a relative bandwidth of 17%.
