Double Vector Model Predictive Direct Speed Control Without Weighting Factor

In order to avoid the tedious tuning work of weighting factor, reduce the computation burden and current ripples in conventional model prediction direct speed control (MPDSC), this paper proposes a novel double vector based model predictive direct speed control (DVMPDSC) strategy without weighting factor. In this paper, the principle of deadbeat control is adopted to obtain the reference voltage vector. This reference vector would be used to decide the optimal voltage vector and reduces the number of candidate voltage vectors. Then, as only the tracking error of voltage vector is evaluated in the cost function. It means that the weighting factor in MPDSC is eliminated. Experimental results show the validity of the proposed approach.
