An Empirical Study of Coauthorship Analysis Using Social Network Analysis

The strength and weakness of current coauthorship analysis are analyzed.This paper investigates coauthorship network in domestic information science field by selecting coauthors of the Journal of the China Society for Scientific and Technical Information,using Social Network Analysis from the angle of centrality analysis,subgroup analysis and core-periphery analysis.It indicates the researchers in the coauthor network,discovers several subgroups with close links between their members and distinguishes key authors in the network.
