Measurements of Wind in the Upper Atmosphere: First Results of the Micado Instrument

To measure wind and temperature a thermally stable field compensated Michelson interferometer has been built. It will be operated on the EISCAT site. First measurements have been made at the Observatoire de Haute Provence (France). These measurements are in good agreement with monthly mean obtained by the meteor radar located at Monpazier (France).
