The electrical properties of a living tree in relation to point discharge

Abstract Investigations are described of the current flowing into a living tree when a potential was applied between two electrodes, and of the current flowing out when the potential was removed. The results show that the currents are still altering after periods of days and the tree does not behave as a simple electrical system. The relation of these results to point-discharge currents is considered.
