Tissue engineering, stem cells, and cloning: opportunities for regenerative medicine.

As one of the major components of regenerative medicine, tissue engineering follows the principles of cell transplantation, materials science, and engineering toward the development of biologic substitutes that can restore and maintain normal function. Tissue engineering strategies generally fall
