An Optimal Adaptive Checkpoint Strategy for DMR with Energy-Aware

A combination of DVS and CSCPs (CCPs or SCPs) can be used to satisfy system's DVS requirement and improve the performance of realtime systems. However, few papers addresses these issues in conjunction. In this paper, we present an integrated approach that facilitates fault tolerance through additional CCPs (compare-checkpoints) and SCPs (store-checkpoints) checkpoints and power management through DVS. Further, an optimal checkpointing interval that minimizes the average times is analytically derived and is numerically computed. Numerical examples results show that compared to previous method, the proposed approach reduces task average execution time
