Two new species, taxonomic notes and a checklist of bagworm moths from Madagascar (Lepidoptera, Psychidae)

Two new species of Psychidae, Sapheneutis pulchella sp. n. and Typhonia bimaculata sp. n., and the unknown , of Typhonia vadonella (Viette, 1955) and Typhonia fibriculatella (Viette, 1956) are described from Madagascar. Sapheneutis pulchella sp. n. is characterized by a distinct white ground colour with several black spots. Typhonia bimaculata sp. n. is described from a , and has a brownish ground colour with two distinct dark spots on the fore wings. The two species are compared with all the known species of Naryciinae and Typhoniinae of Madagascar. Typhonia seyrigiella (Viette, 1954) comb. n., Typhonia alluaudiella (Viette, 1954) comb. n., Typhonia decaryella (Viette, 1955) comb. n. and Typhonia fibriculatella (Viette, 1956) comb. n. are transferred from the genus Melasina Boisduval, 1840 to Typhonia Boisduval, 1834. A checklist of all Psychidae known from Madagascar is provided.
