Library Acquisition of Technology: How the sausage is made

This presentation will be a light hearted look at the way libraries for better or worse make decisions about technology purchasing.  From consortial buying of multi million dollar ILS and Discovery Systems to wondering why that particular item that no one uses or has ever used is still taking up space in your office all shall be considered worthy objects of attention.  This is also a preview and shameless plug for the presenter's upcomming book Library Technology, Funding, Planning and Deployment from IGI.  Audience is highly encouraged to come prepared with their own stories of technological hyjinks to share at the end of the presentation.
