Application of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors in Construction Monitoring of Shanghai Qizhong Tennis Center

Principle and embedded method of Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) sensors in concrete structures are illustrated in brief.72 FBG sensors are embedded in the bi-direction prestressed concrete structure of Shanghai Qizhong Tennis Center for 8-month construction monitoring.The monitoring results show that the measuring and theoretical results are in good agreement with each other,and FBG sensors put up good performance in stabilization,precision,resistance EMI and ruggedization. The results also show that the structure has a good mechanical performance in the whole process of construction.
