The Study on Computational Method for Oblique Nozzle Stress of Pressure Vessel

There was no simple method to calculate the stress of oblique nozzle in the cylindrical pressure vessel.The factors that would affect the stress distribution of the oblique nozzle were analyzed,and with the basis of the coordinate conversion of analytic geometry and the method of regress,the semi-theoretical and semi-empirical formula of the stress computational method was developed.The error between the calculated stress and the measured stress was lower than 20%.The computational method provided the basis and the reference of the design,fabrication,and especially useful for the fast evaluation of in service oblique nozzle.
