PRALINE, A Protein Multiple Sequence Alignment Tool: User perspective analysis

PRALINE is a web based toolkit for protein multiple sequence alignment developed and managed by Centre for Integrative Bioinformatics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands. This freely available online toolkit provides quality output and accomplishes optimization of information for input sequences through homology-extended alignment, predicted secondary structure and/or transmembrane structure information and iteration capabilities. This toolkit has unique feature of alignment based on four parameters or criteria. It allows preliminary prediction of protein structure and provides basic proximate biochemical properties of the protein. In this review we have illustrated the features of outputs as snapshots, which are presentable and appealing over the outputs of other tools, besides a concise comparative analysis of this tool with most
