On the use of Bayes' Theorem in assessing the frequency of anticipated transients

Abstract A series of examples is given illustrating the use of Bayes' Theorem to express out state of knowledge about the frequency of reactor transient events. The examples address the effect of the prior, the mesh spacing, and the interpretation of the data.
