A study for the characteristic of static stress on the standard cross-section of rapid- hardening track

The low-maintenance of existing line is a growing recognition for the maintenance cost savings. The purpose of rapid-hardening track is reducing the maintenance as a method for the ballast to the concrete track and does not interfere with train operation. However, the rapid- hardening tracks have the characteristic that did not used steel reinforcement, composed of one layer and immersed large sleeper and construction joint. In this paper, Analysis performed using the 3D finite element analysis in order to examine the characteristic of the maximum tensile stress and shear stress on the rapid-hardening track of standard cross-section.
