A Proactive Strategy of Ship Maintenance Operations

The article is devoted to solving the problem of improving the efficiency of the technical management system of courts whose age exceeds 10 years. Proved the effectiveness of using such a proactive maintenance and repair strategy for such vessels, the main disadvantage of which is the need to develop and implement a scientifically based system for predicting changes in the actual state of ship machinery and mechanisms during operation. A model of a prediction system based on the ISO 13881 standard is presented, the main stages of such a system for a centrifugal pump of the main engine cooling system are developed. As an integral indicator of the effectiveness of introducing a proactive strategy of ship maintenance operations, the authors propose to use the total cost of implementing and operating the forecasting system, the cost of working on ship maintenance operations, taking into account replacement parts and risks associated with accidental failures of the system due to insufficient confidence level of the forecast.
